Narnia

The enchanted world beyond the wardrobe

FantasyMythology

About This World

Narnia was sung into existence by Aslan: a world of talking beasts and magic. Four children discovered it through a wardrobe and became kings and queens. Its history is long and turbulent: from the iron winter of the White Witch to the golden age of the Pevensies. It is a world where courage determines who will triumph.

Notable Locations

Cair Paravel

The seat of the four thrones, built on a promontory above the Eastern Ocean where the Pevensies ruled in the golden age.

Lantern Waste

The western forest where Lucy first entered Narnia, marked by a lone lamppost burning in the snow.

The Stone Table

An ancient place of deep magic where Aslan was sacrificed and death itself was undone.

Calormen

A vast southern empire of desert cities and rigid hierarchy, where the god Tash is worshipped in fire.

The Lone Islands

A chain of islands beyond the Eastern Sea, nominally under Narnian rule, prone to moral decay.

Aslan's Country

The land beyond the world's edge: more real than Narnia itself.
